CHRONICLES FROM THE
PLANETBUSINESS
An Eyewitness Account of the
Crimes Passion Madness and Downright Stupidity of Modern Business
Very little escapes Barry
Gibbons' penetrating stare and acerbic pen in this collection of 57 vignettes from the
world of business. From assorted world-wide vantage points, he thumps the keys of his
lap-top and lets fly at everything from cooking profits to the failings of capitalism,
from labor unions to internationalism. And S3 other targets. He answers those questions
nobody has dared to ask:
Could a stolen Botticelli
help YOUR marketing? Exactly how many teeth has Anthony Robbins?
How long does the author have
to speak at your convention for it to be tax deductible for BOTH parties?
Should Bill Gates have been
allowed to breed?
Will erectile dysfunction (as
advertised by Bob Dole) be a problem on manned space stations?
This collection is riotous,
but thoughtful. Bizarre, but savvy. Manic, but balanced. Sometimes it is all of these at
once. Sometimes in one sentence. Punctuation is not the author's strong point.
