It has been translated more
often than any other book except the Bible and more commentaries have been written on it
than any other Chinese classic. Both philosophical speculation and mystical reflection,
the Too Te Ching is about the harmony and flow of life and the necessity for affinity to
it.
P.ichard Wilhelm, renowned
for his superb translation and commentary on the ; Ching, completed his translation of the
Tao Te Ching in 1910 but it was seventy-five years before it appeared in the English
language. His commentary helps us towards a more profound understanding of the work.
